Brady Cakez started 30 years ago when a friend asked me to make his girlfriend's birthday cake. He requested a miniature two-tiered birthday cake because he wanted to propose to his girlfriend. So impressed was his fiancee with the birthday/engagement cake, that she insisted on having me design their wedding cake. Initially, I didn't feel I was prepared to take on a project of that stature. I was already assigned the task of performing my original composition, "Three Steps to the Altar", a song for brides that are considering a non-traditional approach to the wedding march. After much contemplation and persistence from the perspective couple, I embarked on a project that would eventually evolve into a passion for designing cakes for all occasions. I am very passionate about creating Sweet Dreams and Great Memories for my clientele.

Hi, i'm Akeem and I make brands look good. I've been doing design work in Atlanta, Boston, and now Austin for the last 9 years. I have experience in web design and front end development and I’ve honed my skills as a storyteller by collaborating with startups, artists, nonprofits, small businesses, and agencies. Partnering with Brady to enhance his web presence has been one of my latest endeavors and I look forward to improving the overall experience on Brady Cakez as we continue to serve you.
